You have the stock bars and risers. Yes, Changing the riser presents a challenge. If you keep the stock rises and go with mini apes you will have to change the cables and the wiring. It is pretty short and tight on the customs. I went with a 1" riser and 16" apes from Hill Country Custom Cycles. I personally think apes on the stock riser look funny. Whatever you decide to do....Do your research and only do it once. I mocked up my bars with PVC pipe to get the exact length/height I wanted. I also used a speedo setup from a low.
Be careful if you try to change the bars without changing the cables too. Make SURE they are not too tight.

From the picture it seems you put a very nice setup on your bike. Would you mind to put up more pics?

Do the low speedo has the neutral and turn signal indicators too?

Thanks! I will try to post more pics tonight when I finish my day. The low setup has all the same indicator light setup. The bracket is the expensive part. The light bezel and stuff is only about 15 bucks for all 3 parts. You will use your existing actual indicator lights. They just fit into the low setup. ALso, make sure that the top clamp/riser you buy will accommodate the speedo attachment. I did not take this into consideration and had to modify the speedo bracket.

Here are a few I took today.

Oh yeah, Make sure your bard don't hit your tank when they are turned all the way! I have about 3/4"

I think your bike looked great the way it was and great with the apes. Nice bike either way.

Sorry, I haven't updated it in a while.

Woodworking1 has good pictures in a previous reply. It's a little bit spendy, but worth it to get rid of that ugly, stock riser.
I bought all my parts through Zanottis. Saved about 20% off the dealers prices.

Man, these pictures are great, thanks a lot. I love what you did with it. Would you be even more generous and tell me where you go the speedo (HD dealership?) and the risers? Oh man I'm getting exited lol...

One thing I did notice is my top clamp/ speedo housing is different than his. Mine is all one unit. I ordered mine for an '08 Low.
