So being someone who does not have the tools for this, how much are you going to sell the blanks for so we can all put our own emblems on our bikes?
i'm with him ^^^
i like to have a blank that i could mask and sandblast a relief in to. then i'd rub some matte black in to the blasted areas leaving the surrounding areas raised and polished.
some variation of this pic:
though, at that size i will have to lose a lot of detail..... maybe on the derby instead?
I did something similiar with my Ammo coin a while back.
Mine is a 2010 Iron so it has that little rim around the center.
I took my dremel and sanded down the center that has the HD symbol of the cover and sanded down the back of the coin.
I took JB weld and centered and attached it. I started to pin it in place and them use JB weld...but so far mines been holding up for a couple hundred miles so far.
I painted it flat black.
I loved how it came out and others want me to make them one.
I also did one on my buddies Ultra Classic and I put it on his oil dipstick...I'll see if I can get pics of it today...it looks pretty cool!

Here's an example for a big twin, but they make 2-hole for Sportsters, too.
