Default S100 Cleaners

Hi Everyone,
I recently was researching what products work best to clean my new 06 Sportster (first bike ever). Well I went down to the dealership to pick up S100 bike wash, pre-wax, wax, and chrome polish. I have to say after using these products I am a bit dissapointed overall. The shine was no better than say meguires, which I have been using on my car's for years. Also, ease of application was a PITA (pain in the ***) after 2 hours of washing, waxing, detailing etc. The first ride out in the AM left my bike with everything still sticking to the paint and chrome and when hit with the california duster or chamois, the spots still stuck to the paint/wax.

IMO a waste of money totally, and I would have saved quite a few bucks if I just got mequires wax and some mothers chrome polish. Just my 2 cents.

I don't care about most of the S-100 stuff other than the bike wash and Engine Brightener. You can mix the bike wash 50/50 with water and get just as good of results. The Engine Brightener works wonders on black motors.

For a wax/polish Mequier's NXT Tech wax is hard to beat.

Polishing chrome is a complete waste of time. It doesn't get any shinier the more you rub on it. Just keep it clean by washing the bike. If you need to knock off any water spots or heavy stains, just use a good glass cleaner.

i use maguires polish and wax, blow dry with a leaf blower (electric) and this gets all the water spots off nicely. finish it off with a quick wipe with a terry cloth and no spots. i do the chrome too. looks sweet!
