Need help please
On my way to work this morning I suddenly started to lose my speed and by the time I knew it I was at full throttle and only going 60 I made it to work ok I was almost there maybe a mile or so from the job. When I stopped I noticed it sounded a lot different then usual. Turned it off and started again with no problem but still sounds funny can anyone help with this problem? The nearest hd shop is about 30 min away will it be safe to ride it there?

I would pull one spark plug wire off and start the bike and how does it sound then plug it back in and do the same with the other . Check your fuel filter . check that the throttle cable is not broken . Just putting some stuff out .

Start the bike when its cold, then tap each head pipe with your fingers to see if they are getting hot (to hot to touch). If one stays warm while the other one is to hot to touch. Change the spark plug for the cooler cylinder and try again.

Well I went out at lunch to check on it an it was the cable. It was loose on one of the cylinders. I guess I must of knocked it out while I was trying to warm my hand up. Lol. Anyway come to fun out that the cable the hd gave me was too big for my ignition coil. I had to clamp it shut with channel locks so I can make it home. Guess I'll have to put factory one on. Thanks for all the help guys. I don't know where i would be without this forum everything from customizing to fixing it this forum rocks! Thanks again everyone.
