3RdGear,,,My 2 cents If I may XD
Have you been on Mid controls for along time ?
If so you should consider Hi-way pegs, that way you got options.
You can move about on the superslab and keep the superior riding control
of Mids.
IMO Mids have many advantages,
You can lift off the seat for a nasty bump,
You can "Load" the pegs for better low speed control and balance,
You can corner better by making use of forward weight shifting to add
front end traction,
And In a worst case do or die situation you can use any dirtbike skills you have
like powersliding and Curb hopping.
As for the Ham can, I keep my leg against it,,never a problem
Get rid of that stupid ham can! All the big aftermarket vendors, and most of the small ones, have very cool, functional air cleaners that are direct bolt on replacements for your bike. Try any of them - JPcycles, denniskirk, debrix, lick's, lowbrow, drag specialties, etc... i'm not suggesting any favorites, just a few names at random.
