Do your gauges bother you sitting up the way they do? I put risers on mine and the gauges bothered me,sitting almost straight up! I bought a barn door handle for $5 and made a new mount to drop them down and change the angle.
Did not like them at all at first, have since gotten used to them but would still like them tilted back a bit. Unfourtenatly I cant use different risers because the bars would hit the tank .
Your idea sounds great, if I could only see the pic. Maybe because I am a new member?

Has anyone put 1" risers on their "R"? If so, did the stock cables and brake lines make it or did you have to opt for longer ones?

Thanks in advance!

Using another computer, it worked this time! Looks like it worked out good. May I ask where you got the handle from?

I think the stock risers are only 1 or 2 inch! I put 4" on! Up 3" and back 1" and did not need new cables. I cut the zip ties for the wires and pulled them enough! The clutch cable was good! The throttle cables were good but would have liked a tad more slack! The brake line,I had to bend the steel tubing a little to get a comfortable length! Go easy on the brake line so it doesn't crimp!

Ace hardware! Like this, but with one screw hole in each end! I cut about an inch or so out of the center. Drilled 5/16 inch holes, painted them black and got the result I was looking for. I think it was a 6" or 7" barn door handle. The link didn't work! Google barn door handle and you'll see what it is!

That link didn't work either! You have to do a little grinding and maybe tweak the bend a bit!
