Calling all Dakota digital users
I just got my dd, and I also have the joker machine speedo relocation bracket.
I followed the instructions to the T:
1) removed the 2 screws on the back plate,
2) unplugged the speedo
3) removed it
4) put the Dakota in
5) plugged it
6) put the screws back in
It works
Here is my issue/question
I screwed the screws all the way in, and can't really turn them anymore, but the dd hangs out of the case a tiny bit (from the bottom)
Im pretty sure I replaced the rubber grommet correctly, but I'm not sure.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix this?
Also, is the plug waterproof? Should I be afraid if it rains that water is gonna seep in through that tiny crack and f up everything?
Thanks
L
I'll be in your boat this weekend. I will installing my gauge on Saturday, I will chime in afterward, whether if I have the same problem or not.
I am not sure how I will set the gear selector, on these busy streets of chicago, I can't see going in 5th gear anywhere.

Jerry sounds like its time for a short road trip to the northern burbs .. roads are a bit more open and fun to ride. after you get the lights adjusted head west a bit. i'll break out for a cruise w ya.
I havent set up the gear selector yet because morning traffic is bee atch but i had my wife drive in front of me today, just to make sure the speedo is on, and it is.
My only worry is this little gap and whether or not I'll be phillipsed if it rains.

I know when I installed mine I had a hard time getting it to sit perfectly in the mount at first. You've got to wiggle it a little back and forth to get it to seat perfectly.
I could be wrong but it doesn't look like yours is sitting in the mount correctly.
