Throttle and Idle cable Adjustment?
need a little help from you all if possible. i put bars on my Sporty 12" mini Apes and got new cables for throttle and idle and i didnt get them adjusted right i dont think. the throttle is sticky and does not want to return right. i bought a service manual that is on CD but the decription that they give is a real pain for me to understand on how its done and i cant see the illistrations really well in it either.
can anyone help me here would much rather do it myself vs taking it to the dealer and have them do it for $80

It sounds like you need to adjust your return cable. Make sure the metal part on the carb end of the cable is seated properly in its holder. Adjust all the slack out of that cable. That might cure your problem. Perform the same task to the throttle cable. The throttle should be able to roll on to full smoothly and snap back when released. Every time you turn it! Check to make sure your cables are routed properly and not pinched anywhere. Also check to make sure your Throttle hold or "cruise control ****" is not turned in to stop the throttle from returning. I know its not very technical or by the book, but it has always worked for me.
