Default Weekend Project

Started the next few mods. I replaced the 4.5 gal tank with a 3.3 and painted it flat black...also painted the headlight black. I relocated the speedo to the side of the tank. I ordered a Model A tail light and license plate bracket and still need to cut the rear fender and paint it. Should keep me busy for a couple days.

I have a question about the wiring for anyone who has installed a model A tail light. there are two wires on the new light, one black and one green. On the old tail light there are three wires. I am wondering which wires to splice. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but I think you can see there is a blue, black, and red/yellow wire.

The old tank has a small dent and scratch on the right side. Gonna store it for now.

Mike T.... thanks, I'll try that.

Just did one of these a few months ago....

Connect the BLACK wire from your light to the BLUE wire on your harness.

Connect the GREEN wire from your light to the YELLOW and RED wire on your harness.

Connect the BLACK ground wire from your HARNESS to the philips head screw on the back of your taillight.

Bought the same mount - Cheap - Beautiful! Good choice!

Streetfighter... did what you said, but both lights are acting as running lights. Any ideas?
