I've owned and ridden everything from Maico sramblers, to Duo Glides, to Triumphs, BSA's, Ariels, Hondas, Yamahas, and an old Panther. My first Sportster gave me the ride I liked, the way I like to ride. The Sportster is and has been my favorite mount for many years, and I don't see that changing.

I feel the same. Ridden and owned many bikes, and the Sportster is the most fun and my favorite as well.

Oh yeah man I hear ya. lol. I have a Honda cb750, Honda cb350 (4 cyl., find one of those!), Suzuki Boulevard C50, Suzuki GS1000, 6 Sportsters, a Road King (yep! lol) and a freakin Buell Blast! I hang out with all kinds of people and honestly, the biggest haters I've come across are Harley owners. Pretty ridiculous.

I really don't think they are haters. I think "they" are just talkin' the talk.
Hard to argue that the Sportster is indeed a fun bike to have, and there is so much you can to with them (mod wise).

Ha ha! Isn't "talkin' the talk" the same thing? I never received my "Harley Talk manual...but I live way the hell out in the country. Sometimes my mail gets lost.
And you can do quite a bit with them but more than just "mod wise". I use one as a chair to watch Manster Jam!
