Since I'm a poor cop married to a poor teacher I bought a pair of leather thinsulate gauntlets at the flee market. Add a set of disposable hand warmers and they do ok.
I've tried every glove and liner under the sun, and after 30 minutes riding in the 30's, they all get cold. Living in Louisiana, that doesn't happen too often, but the next time I have an extra $200 (yeah, right) I'm getting some Gerbings.
You should look at snowmobile dealers if you have them...Here in the USA you can look at www.arctiva.com Mittens are the best at keeping you warm...i would get some leather mittens with a felt or merino wool insert... I have some gloves of all kinds and liners but past 30 degrees they aren't worth a crap. and i put on my Gerbrings. MITTENS i say lad, MITTENS.
I have also used silk gloves under the regular leather glove. Still cold, but it must have been an improvement.
Never did this one, yet I wonder if rubber/ latex gloves would aid to retaining heat (certaining dryness in the rain) or blocking the wind chill.
The Coldest my hands ever got was trying the Latex Glove underneath thing .. Don't even bother to try it ..

I ride lots in the 30s and use some ski gloves from Costco that allow you to add a hand warmer to the backside. This works great for dual purpose stuff like hunting too.
I've ridden in temps in the 20's and nothing keeps your hands warm, except heated gloves. One alternative is to get some dirt bike brush deflectors to temperaly block the wind it does the trick on my XR 200 dirt bike.
Snowmobile mitts. Used to ride for hours in temps 20F or lower and don't remember my hands ever getting cold. Gloves just don't get it in very cold temps.
