Default idling problems

i have a 2000 883 sportster hugger with 16000 miles that was running perfect on friday when i got on it monday morning to go to work it will not idle and as you shift gears it wont idle down. i run the screaming eagle plugs and have changed them. i did notice that on the plug from the front cylinder it was white when i took it out (if that matters) i pulled the cup off of thecarb and i didnt notice any dirt. ive also checked both the jets. all vaccum lines are in place. it has a stock carb that has a thunder slide kit . i also run straight drag pipes and a hypercharger with a k&n filter.
im new to this site any information will be greatly appreciated. thanks eric

Well, you've looked everywhere I would have checked except the throttle cable and idle cable (if the 2000's have them). If that all checks out OK I'd probably have to go to the stealer... []

Throttle cable sounds suspect and just on the off chance, do you have one of those star shaped cruise controls. make sure it isn't putting tension on the throttle.
good luck.

The normal spark plug color is light tan or gray on the firing tip.
Very white spark plugs might indicate that the bike runs a bit lean.

thanks for everyones input the throttle cable and the idle cable checked ok. in a last ditch effort before taking it to the dealer i changed the slow jet from a 45 to a 47 and that seemed to do the trick. there must have been some trash in it that i could not see and the bigger jet let it pass through. all i have to do know is set the idle air mix. thanks again for all your advice
