I dont think you can sue states or departments if there was fault. Stupid law, but I think it's true.

Jeez Motor. So sorry to hear about this. I always check out your bike for inspiration. You've worked hard at it. Glad you're ok. I also got my face smashed up in a head on driving my car in 2004...AND I was wearing a safety belt. My dad had a head on with his Honda 750 about 30 odd years ago and is full of metal parts. He didn't allow us near a bike. Now that I have my Nighty I give him a go on it now and then and he loves it. We're thinking of doing a trip end of the year or so.

Best wishes.

You should be able to. Here in South Africa I'd sue immediately, not only for my pain&suffering and medical bills, but also for the damage to my scoot. They have a duty to maintain the roads.

Sorry to hear about the crash, glad you survived it okay. I've ridden to Broken Arrow to visit my Dad so I know how bad the roads are there, I don't have to see a state sign to know when I crossed into OK from Ark.

I crashed hard when I was 22. I broke my wrist and got some pretty good road rash. After the crash I sold the bike and quit riding for about twelve years, I understand what your going through right now. Every time I have a close call I get the thought that I'm pressing my luck and it's gonna run out again.

Whatever you decide it's your decision and no one should try to change it. Wish you well.

a limp and some scratches i'd say you're pretty lucky drum....so sorry to hear about the crash dude. i said the same thing for years riding bmx, years! bmx beat my body up so bad, 20 stitches here, concussion there, torn acl over here, broken ankles and wrists over there. crashing was just part of it man and there was nothing i could do about it but i kept coming back and coming back. for those of us who are adrenaline junkies this is just part of the game, something in the back of your mind that you know can happen one day but you do whatever necessary to avoid which it sounds like you did. i hope you come back one day drum, hate to see guys stop doing what they have a passion for even if it almost killed them but it's your decision. i have recently in the last year taken up track riding which as you know is probably one of the more dangerous things you can do on the planet and it gives me the same feeling i've been missing on my bmx that i haven't ridden in three years, it scares the **** out of me and if i didn't have that i just wouldn't be me. just my take on the topic drum, i completely understand your hesitation to jump back on but you gotta do what feels right for you bro. good luck and hope to see ya round here in the future! take care man!

Never quit. Learn to ride. IMO, you are stopping because you don't have the skills developed.

Just glad you're still here to talk about it.
