Thanks and I will be reminded of what happened everytime I bump the huge bruise on my leg as well as everytime on get on the bike and see the scratches in the windshield. Since I am a newbie I'll go ahead and ask a newbie question. I don't really know what the guardian bell is. Could you explain it to me? If it has guardian in it I am guessing that it can't be bad but I don't know. Thanks.
Sorry to hear about that. I got hit by a car 3 weeks ago. Smashed my leg. Everything is alright now. Bike is in the shop as we speak. Point is, anything can happen at anytime, anywhere. It's up to us to watch for it and try to avoid it. Once again, glad to hear you are o.k.
i have had a similar incedent but didnt go down..every morning on my way to work there is a right turn i make and the guy in the house on the corner has a sprinkler system that must shut off not long before i get there..i slipped out on it one time(and thats all it took to learn my lesson) so anyway everytime i go past there in the morning. i think to myself this guy is an f'in jerk..maybe im really the jerk for thinking that..but is his lawn really that important(the worst part is his lawn looks like crap)..all i know is if i would have dumped my bike the first morning- his lawn would have looked real bad by the time i was done with it..i would have dumped about 3- 50 pound bags of fertilizer on his lawn in big clumps..
One of my four falls in 35 years was on a deep gravel road in a curve. Gravel is POISON to a scooter. The second fall was in oil on a curve, more scooter poison.
Was standing outside a Harley dealership one morning when a couple drove out with their spankin new white Heritage Classic, dressed to the max custom shop. He made it one block, turned right and the front wheel broke in an oil slick. The salesman and owner gasped along with the rest of us as we heard the clash of metal on cement. The two riders both went off in an ambulance, so Harley fetched the busted up scooter back in for them.
Do heavier rides fall more easily? My last long term MC experience was about 25 years ago with some light weight Honda's. (CB350 and a 450) As I recall, I did some really stupid things on gravel without any dumps.
