Default Slip on ?

I just recieved my Python slip ons. Do I need a gasket set for the cross over pipe? The instructions are lame, and does not mention anything about the gaskets. The stock pipes have a mesh looking seal, are you supposed to reuse them? What is the replacement part #? Thanks for the advice in advance.

No run down to your stealer and get two new ones, they are like $6 for the pair.

cause its $6 in their pocket... and/or they just expect you to reuse the old ones.

Usually for slip-ons there is no need to remove the pipes, Just loosen the clamp, unbolt from the bracket, and Slip them off the pipes then Slip on the new ones, bolt to the bracket then tighten the clamps. But if you already removed the pipes, then you should replace the gaskets and tighten the flanges to the recomended torque, ride it for a while, then check the torque again.

If you're talking about the crush gaskets at the header, then I would say yes. If you just pulled the pipes off like Gpsjr10 mentioned, then no.

Don't forget some pics.

He was asking about the gaskets on the cross over pipe. They are intended to be a one time use only gasket. I normally replace them when I have the pipes off, but I have reused them a few times.

I reused mine with no problems. Might as well throw some new ones in if you are not in a rush to get them on.

Yeah I would go to the dealer and get a pair of new gaskets. I have reused them, but they allways seem to have a slight leak if reused.
