I just saw this bike in black and chrome, sweet. HD put the 48 front end on it as standard equipment. Nice chrome spoked mag rim with the wide tire.
Gotta figure out if it can be retro fitted to my '08 Custom.

To each their own.

And yes, you can put that front end on you '08. Just takes the wider trees. Same frame.

I seen one this past weekend and it looks good. I am not a huge fan of a fat front tire, but it did look good on that bike. it had a 5 star wheels on it.

As far as handling goes, does that fatter front tire make a difference compared to the past years models with the narrower front tire?

The fatter tire will stay "planted" better in the corners, but its turn-in will feel heavier.

The 5 star wheel is standard and the pull backs have been standard for a number of years but i think the eyebrow is longer for '11.

Eyebrow is the same as it has always been for all the other Sportys. The Custom didn't have an eyebrow before.
