As the title says I am after some lovely heavy bass 2:1's
Most stretch past the rear axle I'm wondering if there are any really good 2:1's that are a couple of inches longer than the Vance & Hines Staggered Shots? as that's my ideal length especially as my rear turn signals are positioned through my rear axle on threaded bolts
I love both the Bobcat and V&H Competition.. so may go with one of these
Just one question about the bobcat, i know that the V&H needs to be wrapped due to no heat shields does the bob need wrapping too?
lastly ive seen Martin Brothers Blunts Exhaust w/Heat Shields @ DennisKirk and V&H Big Radius 2-INTO-1 EXHAUST anyone used these and rate them over the other 2 mentioned i know they cost more but the cut in the pipe looks sweet
thanks again

The Bobcat does not need wrapped. It's a great addition to the bike if you like the look.
If you can, hear it in person. I actually ruled this pipe out based off the sounds I heard on the D&D website and other videos. When I was buying my 48 they had these pipes on another 48 in the store and as soon as I heard them it was all over. I haven't heard the Comp 2-1 on a Sporty. What I was told was that the Comp 2-1 was a higher flow pipe (thus, more HP) and I was looking for torque so I went with the Bobcat. I can't give you any numbers until I hit 1000 miles and tune it though.
Love my V&H Competition Pipes. Even with the headers wrapped, I've burned holes in 2 pairs of jeans...HOT.
Pipes look real low any issue on bends with scrapping. They do look awesome like. Seeing as youve burnt holes in your jeans with them wrapped any other protection that can be added?
Pegs drag before the pipe hits, so no issues with that. Not sure about any added protection, I guess you could fab up some heatshields. I did end up wrapping the collector, but it's actually the muffler that's burning my jeans. WhenI say "burning" it just makes a brown spot on my jeans and then after one wash they start to fray and a hole appears...really not that bad considering how bad *** the pipe sounds.
