riding home yesterday after work I encountered a hazard that I had't had to think about for several years. WET LEAVES. LOTS OF THEM. Finding a new way home today.
I've seen many stupid things done on bikes too so I'd say this applys to thinking behind the handle bars as well.
Not to single any one group out but the worst that I see in my area are the young ones on sport bikes. Man, they ride like they are indispensible. I sure hope that group wakes up someday and realizes they are not going to bounce right back up if they hit the ground.

Oh man, you are not kidding. Hit my first patch last weekend and realized it was like being on ice. Fortunately I was cornering slow enough that I kept control. On high alert for them now!
How about this one - doing 75 and about 100 yards in front of me the side door of a beer truck came open and dumped about 5 cases of canned beer onto the freeway. Ever see a full, unopened beer can moving at 75mph? I was in the car and was lucky I was able to avoid them. They were tumbling all over the place, including flying up in the air. There were about half a dozen cars where the cans actually came through the windshields.

That puts a whole new spin on the saying "This Bud's for you"!
I had to take the mini van one afternoon to work ..... saw these two guys on crotch rockets ... impossible to know their age ... run by me doing at least 90 ... I was doing 70 and they passed me like I was standing still ... anyway .. I watched as the cut across traffic to exit .. one bike on one side of the car already on the ramp, the other on the other side on a tight exit ramp with a concrete wall on the outside bend .... either real brave or real stupid ....
and sgreen0313 .... glad to here that you werent injured ... but man .... thats alcohol abuse .....

I've had dreams of beer cans floating around my head, but MAN you've actually lived it!!!
