Long Overdue Chop
aw man....i'll be 37 on sunday, i feel ya joe!
thanks for the response bmx...i was really trying to think of another alternative with the ecm, if it would reach down there. maybe just as easy to get a used fender from a nightster....thats about as short as i care to go and eliminate the center brake light. thanks again
^^^no problem, no problem. i think i thought of every alternative of where to move it before i went through with what i did. there aren't too many. lol. nighty fender was too long for me but hey, i started out with one.
great build. thanks for linking me to this BMX.
would you mind posting up some more photos of your seat setup? i plan on riding shocks until I add the hardtail, so I want to run my seat like yours (without springs).
i don't weld, so I'm curious about how you mounted the seat/what hardware you used.
thanks for all the tips, this will make the first phase of my build much easier

close ups all in the this thread bro. not sure what page but they are there. **EDIT....here ya go....

alli did was find a hinge that was close to fitting and modified it to make it work. a couple people make hinges for the fi sporties though now i think. being that i'm running a power cmndr under my seat i had to shave down the rear seat hinge mount stud on the seat itself for clearance. two rubber grommets on the rear seat studs where th springs would go and that was it. nothing new, lots o cats running them that way.

Damn man that is golden
too freakin funny man. I plan on moving in with my chick in next month and I can see this conversation coming up, especially since I do plan on chopping my fender as well. So if she says anything about the paint I already know how to respond. GOOD info on all walks of life man keep it up

no problem nunez! good luck with the chop and the move in. something tells me though the chop will be the least of your problems going forward. good luck and post a thread with your progress.
