Default A few new mods

Okay so I chopped the fender, I do not like the way this fender looks bobbed, so I cut it straight with the struts and rounded the corners. Then seeing I was going with the side plate mount I had to do some thing with the holes on the fender, I had a Iron cross cut out of stainless steel on the laser and used that. Then I mounted the wheel and pulley that I turned down on the lathe and posted in other threads. Oh I also put lowering blocks on the back. Anyways I am really happy how it is turning out.

I like how you brought the old rim back to life with the lathe ... nice work!

I like what you're doing with the rear fender. Looking good!

I just used a dremel with a high speed cut off disk. I started by putting tape along the top of the hole for the taillight goes and cut just to the edges on both sides where the fender starts to round, about a 1 1/2 " or so. Then I took a level and made a line straight off the bottom off the fender.(tape this off too, keeps the paint from chipping.) It won't meet up with your other cuts, thats where rounding the corners come in. I drew a line by eye and rounded it. Then I evened out the edges on a belt sander but it can be done with a palm sander I am just lazy and work at a metal fab shop.

Coming up with a plan and figuring out how I wanted it to look and then getting the nerve to cut it up was the hardest part. Cutting only took about 15 min and 5 disks. And sanding another 20 min. Then I clear coated the ends to keep it from rusting. It is really simple. Just take your time, do not rush through it. That goes for any mods though, it just looks better if you take that extra time.

looks good man....i second the dremel. i used one to chop my fender up and it worked great. you can finesse the dremel cause it's smaller than a grinder and can work the round edges alot better.
