Default nightster flame thrower!
help!!!!
i have lifted my tank and relocated the coil on my 2009 nightster.
I fitted Accel 8.8 univesal plug leads with the correct connectors for coil.
the bike will not now start it pops and bangs and throws 3ft flames from the shortshots. It looks good but dont move!
Does anybody know if these leads work with this model? i no longer have the original leads, like a dummy, so can not fit them to see if they work.
i have checked and double checked all the connectors under the tank and all are ok. it is almost like the timing is way out?

i am at a loss and really need some help and advice.

Are your plug wires crossed?

i didnt know that you could cross them! but i bet they are. the problem would be what ive got!
its 9.15am here, im gonna go home and see!!!

Thank you. ive been home and tried it, swapped the leads and it fired straight up! i feel dumb now. lol.

I opened this thread expecting a how to for flame throwers. Damn the dissapointment. Glad you got it worked out.
