so im tired of bummin off my buddies tools and planing on FINALLY startin my tool collection for my 2011 iron...any suggestions?? So far I plan on getting some T-Handle allens, all types of torq's, etc.

 

Start yourself off with a good quality toolbox. Purchase #2 should a good diversified set of screwdrivers. I'm partial to Craftsman, but to each his own...

 

Get your self a good 250 - 300 piece mechanics set and that should cover almost everything you need ..

 

You can't put a torque wrench on t-handles. A set of 3/8" drive, socket style hex and torx will be more flexible. Make sure the torx set includes a T-27 (my Craftsman set does not).
+1 on the bang for the buck of a multi (100 plus) piece set and Craftsman.

 

Also, some needle nose pliers, some side cutters, and some snap ring pliers wouldn't hurt. Get Snap-On when you can afford it, Craftsmen when ya can't!

 

Ball-end allen wrenches are a good purchase.

 

You've got to have channel-locks and vice grips.

 

Duct tape and JB Weld

 

Buy quality tools, don't buy those 200 peice economy bit sets for $5. Buy SAE and Metric as there are some metric bolts on your bike.
