Default Chrome Apes?
I'm thinking of changing my stock bars for 12" mini apes. Has anyone put chrome apes on their 48 Sportster. I've seen a bunch with black bars, but thought maybe something different, the forks of a 48 have chrome and black so it might look o.k. I would appreciate some opinions.

I think they would look sweet do it I have the 12" HD mini's in black on my 48 I think chrome would look good too !!!

I love the look of your bike it's one of the reason's I'm thinking of changing. Wasn't sure how the chrome might look. Have you seen one done this way. I wouldn't change without a visual first.

I am thinking of going to 16"ers myself. Give Hill Country Customs a look. I think you should go for it.

Nope I haven't seen one yet with the chrome bars but its all kinda personal preference. Maybe check Youtube there might be someone that has video of a 48 with chrome bars.

Done that, couldn't find one. YouTube is where I first saw your bike. I'll keep looking. I think it would probably look good. The 48 has so much blacked out a little more chrome might be nice.

I agree there is already enough blacked out adding chrome in just the right spots is a good balance.

Thanks Aaron, I did see that one, although I thought they were white ( off all things). Gives me an idea of how it might look.
