Slacksters bike could motivate us all, that's for sure. My 91 needs a "makeover" as well. Good luck with the build and it's great to see you involving the little guy. It's stuff like that both you will never forget.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes, this is todays work. I decided to save the old original fender and cut it to make it nice. Make sure you go to the first page and see how it looks on the bike, but I still have to cut the holders down.

Completed the cleaning and painting of the engine today.... what should i move on to next?

It's starting to look good there. I'm wondering if that truck liner on the jugs will keep too much heat in, or is it close to the same stuff that goes on at the factory. I so want to see how it comes out when your done.
