I need some direction and informed guidance here. As you can tell, the bike sits alot (800 miles in 5 years) Ive charged the battery. I have intermittent flash of the digits on the odometer. A weak headlamp. No turn signals, and needless to say NOTHING for starting. Not even a whirr or a whimper.
I've checked the master fuse, checked the contacts for corrosion on the starter fuses. Can someone give me some "informed" guidance/direction as to where to look next? Where are the grounds located, any common connection trouble spots?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Id really like to go riding this weekend. :-)
Bingo; re-check your battery connections & ensure they're tight. Also, double-check battery load to ensure it's actually fully charged (should read ~12.7V). My guess is you have a bad battery (cells)...
Thank you Iceman. My intuition goes along with you. Due to age of the battery and such, I'm going to try to find a new one this weekend. However, I was hoping someone would chime with where to look next of that doesn't solve the problem.
Respectfully,
BINGO53
BTW: This is a friends bike, I'm buying him a tender and QDharness for Easter!
