Has anyone installed the SE Street performance Slip Ons on their 07 Sporty? How do they sound? OL wants a little deeper sound from her 883L. Thanks in advance for your input.
Definitely louder and better sounding than stock mufflers without being overbearing. Any louder and I would not like them. If you're interested in setting off car alarms, these are not your muffler.
When I went shopping for an exhaust I was set on the H-D "legal" mufflers but when the dealer parts guy told me that they were not really any louder than stock...read: don't give that Harley 'rumble' we look for, he suggested the SE11 slip-ons which I got and like them a lot over the stock mufflers. I don't find them loud at all and when riding I cannot hear them really well, but when stopped or idling they sound great.

Amazing. You're right, they completely eliminate any rumble. lol No really, they make your bike sound like a Suzuki. HDs signature is their rumble but their new Street Performance exhaust was tested and designed to eliminate rumble and the Harley sound. If you believe that....
My dealer said the same thing. When pressed on the issue, he admitted not ever hearing them. They ARE louder than stock and DO sound better. I have them.
Lots of opinions from people that have never heard them. Last I checked, only one other forum member even has them on his bike.
I had the new SE street porformance slip-ons installed on my 2005 XL1200C last week. They are definately louder than the stock pipes! These are a new item for 2007 and not to many dealers have any experience with them. I think a lot of them are comparing them to the standard Harley Davidson slip-ons. They fit 2004 and later sportsters even though they say 2007. The 2007 stock insatll is the only combo EPA certified.
