ok no need to fight about it. thanks for all of the input. I do not know what milage my bike is getting but since I put the new ac and PCv, it does not get as much as it used to. My car gets about 30 mpg and I run 80 miles a day. Riding the bike, I usually run faster so that makes a difference. Thanks for all of the help.
I run 93 octane usually Shell. Manual says to ruin 91+. If 30 cents a fill up really breaks me then I should probably consider getting rid of the motorcycle.....
I run 93 octane. For a few extra cents I know it's going to run good.
All winter I've used either Chevron or Shell 89 octane mid-grade and engine runs fine. I do always add a splash of TCW-3 2-stroke oil to most tankfuls (always add it to my Ranger too) just to help lube the fuel pump and valves.
As the temps stay above 90* then 100*+ for the next 6 months, I will convert to using 91 octane premium to prevent any preignition.
