Ronn I'm glad to hear someone likes it... It almost has an oldschool touring look when you see it in person. I'm going to throw a chrome Harley decal in the center to break up the black, and perhaps make it a bit nicer looking. I know it isn't pretty, and it isn't sleek, but I'm very happy with it.

The saddlebags aren't studded, it must be the picture which makes them look as though they are. They are the HD bags, part # 90598-04. They came with the bike, so I didn't have to shell out the $, but I like them so much that I would.

I don't think it looks half-bad either especially if it can be quick disconnected for around town cruising. I'm sure it would really help keep the highway windblast off so you don't have to keep that death grip on the bars.

When I look at it I envision you sitting behind it swinging a morning star and going into battle. It looks like a medieval shield.
Not a fan. I like smaller sportshields on Sportsters.
But heck, if it works and keeps you warm, all the power to you.
