Ronn I'm glad to hear someone likes it... It almost has an oldschool touring look when you see it in person. I'm going to throw a chrome Harley decal in the center to break up the black, and perhaps make it a bit nicer looking. I know it isn't pretty, and it isn't sleek, but I'm very happy with it.
Thumper:
The saddlebags aren't studded, it must be the picture which makes them look as though they are. They are the HD bags, part # 90598-04. They came with the bike, so I didn't have to shell out the $, but I like them so much that I would.

Now that I've seen them on the web and look closer at your pictures, I don't see any studs - they just hit me for some reason as studded from just seeing your pics (I'm going blind!). Still, nice looking bags and they ARE handy as you know. Da*n Harley-Davidson don't give ya' no space to carry anything on these Sporties! (Wife to me on cell phone while I'm out for a ride: "Dear, while you're out on your ride would you stop and pick up some milk and a loaf of bread?". "Oh, sure honey. As soon as I stop home and get the cager to take to the store!" - LOL!!!!!!!![sm=happybounce.gif]
Well, russkrs, I must be in the minority cause I think it looks decent. You certainly made a silk purse out of a pigs ear. Very well done.
I don't think it looks half-bad either especially if it can be quick disconnected for around town cruising. I'm sure it would really help keep the highway windblast off so you don't have to keep that death grip on the bars.
