thanks everyone i'm glad me and the bike are ok too... I thought it'd be at least a few weeks before i decided to leave my neighborhood based on what everyone was saying about being a new rider and also getting a 1200 for my first bike but it felt pretty natural once i got going i am looking forward to doing some longer trips to Utah and California sooner than later

I tried that, my luck followed me (I hit a deer about 1.5 miles from the new home).
