Yeah I was gonna clear coat it myself with a spray can, but I opted to have it done professionally. It only cost me 45$. Plus the look on the guys face when he saw what I had done to the tank was pretty sweet.
I know about the headlight, its pretty much horizontal. I made my own bracket which also houses the dummy lights. I'd take a closer pic, but I'm not 100% satisfied with my work! I just wanted to get the bike on the road instead of spending another few days messing around with that. Oh and I was also making my own seat, and same thing. I dont have a welder or drill press, so working with the gauge steel I have is a bit of a @#@tch.
