All great stuff. I really can't add anything more than what's already been said, except for this: 1) Make it a point to ride every day (weather permitting of course). 2) Try to ride a route that you're most familiar with where you know the curves and the road surface. 3) Really think hard about the controls and the bike's behavior. You're building a mental data base and what requires total concentration now will quickly become second nature, then instinct. This will help if/when you're forced into an evasive maneuver. Instead of wasting precious moments thinking about what to do, you'll just do it. In reality, you have a 525lb bike and the laws of physics apply more to it than a bike half its weight. Most importantly #4) ATGATT It stands for: All The Gear All The Time. Do it. You just never know. Spend the time to buy decent quality stuff that absolutely-positively fits you and is comfortable to wear, or you won't wear it. You make us all proud you got up and got back on. Ride safe, but ride often.

Ride and learn from what happened. When I was riding dirt bikes I broke both of my arms and tore my ACL out (not all at the same time ;P). It never stopped me from riding, I just got back up and kept on going.
