I just put short shots, stage 1 and fuel pak on my 48. I screwed up and forgot to put gaskets in between throttle body and stage 1 back plate, so for about 100 miles it had about an 1/8" gap where air was getting sucked straight in without going through the filter. So I assume all the air wasn't getting filtered and it was getting too much air flow.
Since I fixed this I notice I get an occasional misfire when on the road and it just seems like when I'm at a constant speed the spark plug isn't performing at 100%
Is it possible that I could have messed the plugs up when the bike was getting too much air? It really seems like it could be the spark plug so I was just wondering if my screw up could have negatively impacted the plugs
By the way my fuel pak settings are correct for my configuration
It's pretty easy to check out the spark plugs. Pull them out and look at them. If they are bad, just swap them for a new set (only around $5 total). I doubt this is the problem, though.
It most likely just lean running conditions. Does it sort of "pop" and "hiccup" while you're just cruising along? That would be an indicator it is still too lean.
