Not sure about the chucks but from What I have gathered they are runners. It's funny. I had a chuckle last weekend cuz the guy was ragging on me bcuz I was wearing boots. Let me tell you the first and last time I wore runners on the highway the one runner was ripped off due to a bolt on a guardrail after it gashed my foot open. At the hospital the doc told me I was a hair away from slicing off my achelles tenon. That sold me on wearing proper footwear.
When I was in the military I knew a guy that thought it was cool wearing a tshirt on the highway. I just shook my head after expressing my thoughts on the matter. He has a constant reminder of pig skin on his back now and has never rode a bike since. But some how he feels bikes are dangerous. Doh!!!!
