Bagger 16's
Thinking about putting the wheels that came stock on my 2007 Road Glide on a 2010 48. Are there any unforeseen pratfalls or, after the bearing conversion, is it straight forward? I'm trying to think the process through before I start. Thanks in advance.
Your rear tire on your RG was/is a 180? The 48 has a 150. You can't put a 150 or 160 on your RG rim. To put that big of a tire on the 48 you'd have to convert the belt to a chain and even then without custom spacers on the front and rear sprockets it still may not fit.
That's what I have on my drop seat.

I don't think the 48 front end is quite wide enough for the mag hub. I could be wrong but I think it's lacking a little to get the rotor to line up in the caliper mount.

Thats why I said the rear, I'm not "up" on the fronts.

Thanks...I'll have to measure the hub centers...I was guessing the mid-glide would have sufficient width. I thought I read where these wheels were on narrow glides with no brakes after indexing (grinding) the lower fork tubes. I want front brakes and do not want to index. I'll check hub centers and width. Thanks again for the tip.
