Chrome ROCKS
I'm an old guy (Classic Rock man also) and I like the chrome. Not a fan of the black out look, but that's just personal preference. I can't imagine how the OP got a reflection in the eye off a gas cap. That's a pretty extreme angle for glare.

Chrome always works best...........So you can find the parts easier when they fall off.

i have a 3.3 gal. nightster tank on my 48, with the sun directly above you with my factory stamped chrome gas cap, the angle was accually perfect for sabotage haha... maybe a combonation of my hight and riding position? maybe the apes will help being they will alow allitle more" lean back" than the factory bars...

I've had the same problem with my 48. I ended up replacing the factory cap with a HD Diamond Black one. The glare only occurred between 11am and 1pm, but it was incredibly bright and annoying.

I just bought a pair of mirror riding glasses I can't see to good in bright light so I need really dark sunglasses. The best thing is they look like chrome.
