left the house today at about noon or so, and no matter how i held my head, my "convex" chrome gas cap and chrome fork tube caps were absolutely blinding me! was half tempted to break out the duct tape, but fought the inner hillbilly and just decided to look into a permanent solution to this problem... was accually contemplating narrow 16" chrome apes from drag specialties, but now i am certain i will go with black sorry for the rant but my retina's are still on fire haha
I just went from a Bobber with flat black everything and some fine black glossy parts, to my first Sportster Custom. there is more shiny on it than I ever wanted.
when polished I have to say it is one fine sight to see. but its my first Sportster, so mabye I am just awe struck. I bet it would look just as nice with the flat/shiny black.
let me re-prase... i dont nessesarily have a problem with chrome " in genaral" just the circumstance that affected me today. being that i have a 2010 forty eight, not a whole lot-o-shiny stuff any who, im pretty sure im speaking of the same fuel cap that is on your chamelion tank in your sig-pic... never had an issue before today but it was like a magnifying glass trying to melt my retina's like an angry kid with mommy issues trying to set fire to an ant! haha either way i guess chrome is ok, its the individual riding the bike that has rights to the preferance... cheers, brandon.
