Idle when in traffic jam

Dam, I'm so glad my Sportster doesn't "talk" to me. I can barley stand all the racket the voices are making now..........
.
They might.....but then again half of them might try to med me......

Pfffffffftttttttt.....eeaaaaaaarrrrrrr..

.
OK Parade mode I was wrong,,Thats why I read what you guys say.
But when a guy Is teaching me how the PRIMARY should sound and how It should not
and he's an old fart who's deep Into sporties for decades I listen.
As for the synthetic engine oils In the primary/lower end/tranny what ever,
Been there done that with my properly adjusted chain and properly adjusted clutch.
The clutch action sucked,
The noise was louder( Chain noise),
The shift "Clunk" sucked,
so It came right out after 100 miles.
Then when I put the Citgo Crap in,,the HD Formula+
Things worked way better.
Worked better than I could have hoped for, all complaints gone.
That tells me that each bike must be different OR
when I get big miles on mine I will need to use something else,,
Like what you guys use I guess.
I've been on only four Sportsters, all 1200's
one with 18,000 miles
another with 37,000
I'll stick to the Citgo crap.
Keep the Drama comments comming, They funny and I Learn as I go.
You guys are a riot XD
PS: Just so you know......Harley recommended for years not to put Synthetic fluids in their bikes. Right up to the point they started bottling their own. Now its all they recommend for the same dam bikes. I think that was the grape koolaid....

Whatever..
I have seen more problems with synthetics than regular oils. I tried it once (and that was enough) in a truck in the 90s. Made noises it never made before (the engine). Went back to regular oil and never a problem again....
Harleys worked fine in the early 1900s with regular oil, they work fine off the line with regular oil. Unless someone shows me solid proof synthetic will make an engine run repair free for a quarter million miles or so I will stick with what HD puts in them straight off the line.....
Wasn't this about idleing in traffic anyway? I have rode my bike when the air temp was 113.4F. No clue what the tarmack was. I even idled up to a 4 way stop that took me forever to get to. My regular old 20W 50 didnt fail me at all...........

I used to be that way in the 90's and I felt that way when synthetics first came out. But then I had a cup of koolaid. lol

No, they have come a long way since then tho and I mean a long way. I'm by no means telling you to use it. Trust me my ole man is pushing 80 and you couldn't give him a barrel of it. I can't get into all the semantics about it cause its way over my head anyways. But I do know for a fact that my temps dropped 20ş in the oil bag and lasering the heads. And with the bike I do use dino oil in, it sure as hell isn't Harley's over priced dino oil.Yes it was and those are some of the most useful facts yet.
