start problem help with 1200
Hello ,
hope you can help.
I purchased a 1999 1200 and converted it to a bobber. "was told" by placing new air intake , jets ,coil and ignition I'd gain some performance. So i did.
Replaced with new wiring, Dyna coil and Dyna S ignition , Battery, high air flow breather and jets. I havn't really noticed much performance.
The PROBLEM IS: upon 50% of the starts it grinds and blows smoke out the carb try it again and it fires right up.This can't be good on starter. The other 50% of the time it fires right up with no problem.(hot or cold)
Any comments or suggestions would gladly be accepted.
