Default Signal lights help

Hey all, I saw these signal lights that i really dig online and they come in 2 pairs, 2 for front and 2 for back. Problem is, the front signal comes with a clamp that only fits 41mm harley forks and the sportster ones are only 39mm.

I know this sounds noob but there are ways to mount the front signals without the clamps right? The clamps are given separately so I guess its only for you if you wanna mount directly on the fork.

Am I right?

Maybe if you posted a link to what you are looking at, someone might have a suggestion or two. Can't help much if we don't have a clue what you're referring to.

I think this is the thread you are looking for.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...ation-mod.html

I am planning on doing this mod so I can flip my mirrors. Right now the signals are in the way to flip them.

if you want a similar clamp just look for a 39mm on the internet youll find plenty, or buy a hd relocate kit and that should work also.

My current forward signals aren't mounted with any clamps. Can I just replace my current with the ones above without using the clamps too?

Neither are mine, so if the threads are the same, sure.

I have the clamp style front signal relocators on my XL50 and love them They are for the 39mm forks and I got them at J&P cycle. I looked at the like you posted and I have to say they look like stock nightster lights with smoked cleat lenses. Why not just keep your stock one's, get the front clamps and smoked clear lenese from HD and be done? Another soulution is you could wrap the forl tunb with something like a black tape to make up the gap form the 39mm to the 41mm of thoes clamps.

My current front signals aren't mounted to the fork mate. I do not have the stock ones, the previous owner of my bike changed them and I didnt get any stock parts from him.

Hopefully the ones I wanna get can be mounted on the place where my current ones are. Another noob question, do all stock sportsters come with front signal lights that are mounted on the fork with clamps? I've never purposely gone to notice it.

You can find the same style clamp on ebay. You may have to get them powdercoated or rattle can them. Heres a set for 39mm.

Or you can go with these...higher priced but clean looking.

ETA: To answer your question the 48's come with fork mounted signals.
