Default 87 Sporty Tach not calibrated?

I had recently installed a Dyna2000i Ignition system and set the rev limit to 6000 rpm. When riding the tach will show 5500 rpm at the rev limiter. ALso had a hell of a time adjusting the fast idle choke and throttle stop. My question is how do I adjust the tach?

Is the motor modified at all or does it just have the ignition installed?

Plus are you running a dual fire or single fire ignition system?

OK, well you don't recalibrate a tach, it just gives what it gets as far as RPM's go. So you need to double check your installation.

Here are your installation instructions to double check......

I'd check it all to be sure.
