New owner
i rode crotch rockets my entire life and always wanted a harley found a deal to good to pass up,
i hope to find this forum as helpful as other forums i have joined.
when i rode it home yesterday i noticed a very slight wobble, nothing serious but enough to aggrivate,as stated im new so not sure if my decription is right, i called the guy and asked him if he has ever experienced this and if its normal, he said no, but less than ten miles he had put on a brand new front tire, could this be the cause, i dont feel any wobble or shake in handle bars it seems like the entire bike slightly wobbles not the front, can someone point me in the right direction
Remember, I tight hold on the bars amplifies wobbles
by transmitting them right into the chassis.
Try holding the bars like you have a dove In each hand
and you want them to be able to breathe XD
Fork braces do wonderful things to front ends In some cases.
Maybe the seller changed It In a hurry, got the direction wrong
and or did not BALANCE It.
Or the tire failed to balance so they reversed the tread on purpose.
Look for balance weights on the spokes or stick on's on the mag,
wich ever you have.
Lots to check,,,
neck bearing adjustment,,wheel fall off applies here.
Triple tree,
axle bearing slop or fit.
Suspension sag front and rear,
Swing arm play,
BAD TIRE as In defective, If Its a 19 or 21" and don't balance
with under 2 oz's,,,even with a partial rotation remount,,
sumthins wrong.
A bike that old with a wide rear tire conversion,,,who knows,
maybe they didn't line up the rear..
No bike should have a wobble at any reasonable speed, say below
190 MPH,,,Gotcha !
There should be no wobble.
