Here's a quick question for all you welders, in a stupid moment of being a fool I ordered some exhaust pipe bends, not looking properly I have ordered all stainless steel but two I ordered are mild steel.
Heres the question am I going to have problems welding these to different materials together?
I googled it and got mixed results.
He he I'm already feeling outside my comfort zone lol
Should be a fun project lol
Should add I'm planning to mig weld

Mmmmm not the first time I've seen this tig with ss filler rods, that was the favourite option I found on google.
Only problem is I don't have a tig and don't really have the cash to get one :0(
Is there no way to mig weld this set up?
You can mig, but you better be a good welder and expect sub par fusion. The TIG suggestion is bc it actually will make a much stronger weld on those. Don't be discouraged just take your time make sure your settings are right.
Good!!!!!! Expert!!!!!! Ha this is my first welding project lol
No I'm joking I've done small jobs (tiny) and they have held up ok.
I was thinking I could tac weld the bends and take it off and get it welded up by a local welder.
I ordered extra bit to practice on till I felt ok to go for it.
I'm thinking I need to save up for a cheap tig setup
