how'd you vertically mount the stock plate holder? just move the plate or the hardware?
ya, just took off that outside slider piece. then screwed it back to just the metal part vertically.
i'd like to put it down there on the shock.. one dude on a youtube vid (one of you from here) had it down there and bent around kinda.. not sure how he did that.

For my bike 160mmx80x16 is the next new rear tire size, conservative is being 150mm, some say 180mm thats pushing it with the stock swing arm setup, my goal for the future is 200mm, but that will involve swing arm, belt drive and pulley drive work & modification. The idea is to have a bad *** 48 by the end of 2012 with 90-93 hp at the rear wheel, so we still have 18 months to go.
I also just picked up a 48 a little over a week ago, and like the look of the stock exhaust. To make it a little louder I plan on installing the Vance & Hines Straightshots HS slip-ons. Search around on youtube to check out some different sounds. You can pretty much find any slip-ons/pipes you can put on the 48 and have a listen.
****** the baffles out of the stock mufflers and see if you like the sound. Free and it sounds pretty decent. Pretty much the same **** as slip-ons.
really?? what is the process of doing something like that. i'll search around and see what i find though about it too Rowdy.
(watching this video right now)
Just drill them out like that eh?
thanks on the tire size! Yours looks good Nickyg! that little luggage rack looks interesting too.. mm.

Basically because Im a noob, and I've just read so many different opinions on removing/drilling/punching baffles that I don't know what to think about it to be honest. Some people say you lose back pressure, and others say you don't. I don't know sh*t about it, so I really have no opinion or say in the matter. Just don't wanna go messing with something I don't fully understand.
I've heard the V & H's slip ons and really liked the sound. So that's really my only reasoning for picking them. Still haven't gotten around to ordering them yet though....
