well it may not be as bad as I thought. I took my broken part to a shop. They told me that Drag doesnt sell that replacement part to his knowledge, only the complete right brake assembly. I told him I hammered out the bolt from the assembly, and that I thought about doing the same to the stock bolt and putting that in the eye from my kit.

He said there is a 99% chance the diameters will line up, and I wouldn’t have to worry about the rod coming loose because the outside diameter is shorter than the inner on the eye, which I noticed. That will prevent the rod from coming off the bolt in one direction, and if cannot come off in the other because it will be bolted to the foot brake. I think I am going to give that a try.

I also was able to buy a bolt extractor kit for ten bucks, not too bad. I believe the threaded hole is open on the other side, so it may just screw through when I go to drill the pilot hole. We will see. Thanks for the help so far guys Ill keep you posted.

Well I got it working. Thanks for the EZ Out tip, Ive never use one of them before - worked like a charm. As for the linkage arm, I was able to get the stock bolt out and use it in the new linkage arm.

The kit does seem pretty cheap though. the pegs arent rock solid, and the brake pedal arm isnt any longer than the stocker, which puts the brake pedal two inches closer to the peg than normal - its a very poor design. Its a drag specialties kit. No idea if all of their products stink but this one isnt great.

dont reuse the ball joint, when you hammered the ball out,you basicly destroyed the joint,it will fall apart going down the road, maybe not on the first few rides, but it will fail when you need it..hiem joints work better anyway, just replace the tie rod,or if the end doesnt screw off,cut it as long as you can and tap the rod end to screw a hiem joint on

Red only on BIG fasteners that you may NEVER want to seperate, and blue on pretty much everything on a bike.

The key with Loctite or any liquid threadlocker, is to be sure the threads are clean and free of dirt and oil. A drop goes a LONG way, too much is a bad thing on small fasteners. This is one of those things where more, is not better.
