I know this is in the wrong section and I posted in the DIY Engine Diag. section already. Did several searches and the only answers I could find were RTFM, or take it to the dealer. I know some of you Sporty guys own big bikes too and wondered if someone could give me an educated answer.
I am working on a 99 FLH Carbed model and it has an intermittent engine light on while riding. Now, when you turn the switch on, the light comes on for a few seconds, then goes off for a few seconds, then comes back on for 8 seconds then goes back off. From what I have read, it means that there is a historic code stored and I am trying to find out how to read it and what the codes mean.
look in your owner manual and see if it tells you how to get access to your codes. My Street was doing the same thing about 2 weeks ago. Mines I just turned the ignition on and hit the turn signals a pressed my mileage button and the codes came up.
I don't have any manuals, I am looking at it for someone else. I have searched online and on the forums and have come up with nothing. It is almost like it is Top Secret Information. There is info all over the place for 2000 and newer. But those have the digital Odometers.
