He's right. If the bike was taken care of, you should get a lot of good miles left to ride before haveing to rebuild anything. These motors are built tough. I bought my 02 XLH with around 9K last year and I now have just under 14K, and she runs like the day she was born. Only better!
I,ve got alittle over 27k on mine and still going strong, just wished they made a better choke cable. It should have been a lever instead of a ****. My polaris has got the same setup but I have never had a problem with it,,, go figure.
