I was thinkin about getting some dragbars for my 2k11 48 and not sure which brand and what not to go with, anyonr with suggestions on brand and measurements please help out
I put the Wild 1 "Chubby" Dragster WO511 handlebars on my 2009 Iron. The 1 1/4 inch bar looks great, the black finish is awesome, and it is pre-drilled for internal wiring. Lowered my stance a bit to give me a more "aggressive" feel when riding. They feel just about perfect, and they still let you mount your mirrors under the bar without hitting the tank. Oh, and they give your ride a super awesome low-profile look.
I bought a set off of Ebay for $25... I crashed my bike, the bars didn't bend or anything and the impact was mostly on them. They did get scratched up though, so I bought another set.

Those look nice, but they won't mount on a 48 nearly as easy as they did on your bike.
I tried the Chubby Dragster on my 48... Doesn't work...
It will touch the top triple tree nuts where it seats over the handlebars clamp.
And you would also have problems mounting back the controls.
I tried...
You may have to relocate the turn signals on the 48 and lower the fork in the triple tree's so that the nuts on top of the triple tree don't hit the bars. There isn't an option out, that I know of, for risers on a 48 that would get your bar away from these problems. Other than having a riser custom made.
