I like the way these bars look!
It would be a treat to see pictures with these handlebars on a Sportster.
Information or tips about your installation would be helpful too.
I'm seriously thinking about putting these on my 1200c (pictured below)
Thanks for your participation.
Your going to need a set of one inch risers, and a speedo relocation device.
That's what I was hoping NOT to hear DeD Fred, ha ha.
I was aware of the wire & cable issues...
The use of my stock riser was a grey area for me though.
I know it's doable... But I hoped to use my existing riser/speedo mount.
I'm defiantly in the researching mode. Like you...I'll have to save up
for this project. If I even follow up on it.
Thanks!
You can do it with the stock custom pullback riser but it will look terrible IMO. I put mini apes on my custom and I went with a nightster riser. Now I seriously regret not taking the speedo off the bars completely. Looks so much cleaner. Apes on a pullback riser look really weird.

The replies are appreciated & that's why I was asking for pictures.
I know it's asking a lot, (to get pics) But to see results of other customs
with apes would be a big plus! I think some apes look good on a Sportster & some style apes should be on a big twin.
IN MY OPINION....The RSD bars that I attached on the start of this post would look super cool on my ride!
Even with stock riser... I think.
Why would he need these? The existing top clamp/speedo mount will fit just fine. All he'll need is new cables.
Dude he has a "C" like mine.
See that big ugly 6 inch curved riser? You add 12 inch bars and your gonna lose control. I would not run down the road with high end wiggles, no matter how it looked. With one inch risers you could go to 18 inch full apes and have was less travel than with the stock riser.
Harley sells a full western kit that will use the stock riser, its really butt ugly.
This is the relocation device Ill be using. You can get it cheaper other places
This youtube video shows some bars sorta similar to the RSD's on a stock custom riser. I think it looks weird, but with the fork bag it kinda conceals it.

Thanks for the help Greatscott, It does look kinda funky to me too.
IMO, the stock riser looks fine with the oem bars or even drag bars but
with apes...? Not so sure...
DeD Fred, I'd be tickled to see & hear how your up & coming handlebar project turns out.
Thanks for the link & that kit looks good but I'd rather have
my speedo front & center. Don't forget to let us know how it turns out!
As it stands for me know. I'm in love with RSD bars & I wanna ride with
em but I have some thinking to do about the riser thingy.
Still would like more pics/vids related to RSD 12"apes or even riser options
& ideas.
