Default installing pipes.

I ordered a set of drag pipes for my 05 1200C. They are supposed to fit 04-06 sportsters. What is the trick to installing them? It seems simple, two bolts to the head and set it on crossover tube. Yeah it aint. It's off by a C hair and I cant get it to go on. I think I need to bend the pipe a little to make it work. Any suggestions on how to do this without F'in it all up?

u using new gaskets at the flange? (head).

What brand pipes?
imo, install each loose to the head, then even them out once the mounts are on, and tighten at the heads once you have them aligned.
