I dont get it. Do bikes with EFI sound different than my bike with a carburetor at idle?
EFI comes with higher RPM controlled electronically, what this does is allow us to reduce it, so thats why sounds like old ones.
Engines lovers says it shorts motor life, but this only happens if we keep very low RPMs for very long continuos time.
no performance gains whatsoever here right? at least not that i can see...so what's the point? i'm with mreed, my efi idles just fine not to mention it just adds more clutter wiring crap then what's currently there and all of us efi owners know there's way too much of that already.
btw, we might need to see some zoomed out pics of said hands pepe.....lol
That can't be good for your engine without tuning it for the lower idle IMHO. I bet the ecm on a bike with this is like WTF?!? My bike doesn't have a carburetor so it shouldn't sound like it does.
But, if you want that Harley potato potato old school sound on a newer efi this looks like the easiest way to do so.

From the TTS Mastertune manual:
Caution: When adjusting the idle RPM table, do not set the idle speed below 900 RPM as this could cause the oil pressure to fall too low resulting in engine failure.
Seeing as my Iron currently idles (after warm up) between 935-1000 RPM, I would think that unit is dropping it well into the danger zone!
adds nothing to the bike but more issues (at least that's what it sounds like). it's like those knuckle or pan style rocker box covers for sportsters. i ask myself, why?

It's just a novelty. Just like those spike handlebar clamp covers, they do nothing for performance and can possibly impale you if you wreck but some people think they look cool.

They make knuckle rocker covers for modern 883 engines???
That is awful. Its like putting cobra emblems on your v6 mustang.....
